SHOC is a leading supplier of optical conversion products for sporting professionals worldwide. Their visors have been widely adopted in american football and lacrosse at all levels of competition, and are used by some of the NFL's biggest names.

The Brief
In most leagues from high school football all the way up to the NFL, players are required to wear clear visors during competition games. For training, warm-ups, and other non competition activity players are free to wear what they like. That distinction between competition games and other on field activity presents players with an opportunity to individualise their look and stand out from the pack.
SHOC take individuality seriously, their standard visors come in a huge range of colour options and they are constantly releasing new colours and tints to maximise choice for their customers and keep their style ahead of the game.
For the 2.0 Lightning Football Visor SHOC wanted to create a product that allowed players to express their individuality when they were able to, and made it easy to change to a clear visor when they needed to. This required not just a new visor design, but also a re-think of how visors were mounted to helmets.
The Solution
OnePointSix started by producing several new functional concepts for the visor attachment mechanism, culminating in a quick release mechanism that creates a real point of difference from competitors.
The mechanism and visor were then developed aesthetically to create a clean, aggressive look that complemented SHOC's existing product styling, but was unique enough to stand apart from all other products on the market.
OnePointSix produced all the relevant product manufacturing information and liaised with SHOC's manufacturing partners to bring the product to market.
The 2.0 Lightning Football Visor has received high praise from customers and generated record sales, consolidating SHOC's position as the leading provider of sport helmet optical conversions.
